This is the sequel to "Plugged". After going through all the Artemis Fowl books, the raunchiness of Plugged was a shocker at first. These books are so funny though, that after a while you don't see it as raunchy, just human. The other thing that comes through in all Eoin Colfer's books is that he tends to deflate the ego of all his characters thoroughly and regularly but there is an unmistakable affection for them as well. Merciless is not the same as mean spirited. If you haven't read "Plugged" I would recommend reading that first, but read them. I laughed out loud more than any book in a long time. Perfect sequel to "Plugged". I can hardly wait for the next one. Eoin Colfer has come up with another great cast of characters, which is something he does so well. Keep them coming.
This is a good read. Young adults and people reading for fun will probably enjoy this the best.
It was a good sequel. I enjoyed that the action started so early, though I am not sure how I feel about the incredibly unbelievable types of action. Still if you enjoyed Plugged, you'll like Screwed.

This is the second book that goes to the book Plugged. An excellent read. I hope Mr. Colfer writes more books about the character Dan McEvoy. This is the first time I've read an e-book though and I plan to make a habit of it! If you enjoy Artemis Fowl or if you've ever read anything by Elin Colfer, you will love this book as well. I've read several books by him and I've loved every one. I would have to say that he has become my favorite author.
Who could imagined that an Irish author, who is known for his young adult books, could write so well about the ficticious mob of Saprano Land in north Jersey and NYC. Remarkable, funny, well written and all engaging! My only regret is that read SCREWED before I even knew about PLUGGED. Even so, I am still looking forward to reading PLUGGED. Either way, I really think I am a winner finding Colfer.
I purchased Plugged by Mr Colfer a couple of years ago and liked it. I purchased Screwed a week or so ago (and re-read Plugged before reading it) and it's even better than Plugged was. I'm not going to go into any depth here, just gonna say, if you liked Plugged, you'll really like Screwed. If you haven't read Plugged or Screwed, read Plugged first then Screwed. You'll thank me. IF you read and didn't like Plugged well, I have nothing to say to you.
